For its Magic cable support systems RKSM, MKSM and SKSM, OBO Bettermann has been awarded the DGNB Navigator Label of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The Label is used to indicate construction products listed on the DGNB online platform, the so-called Navigator, and which have made a proven contribution to building sustainability. The Navigator supports architects and planners with comprehensive, product-specific information for the selection of sustainable construction products. The DGNB's awarding of a platinum, gold, silver or bronze certificate to buildings can also be positively influenced by the use of products with the DGNB Navigator Label.
The precondition for the awarding of the DGNB Navigator Label (www.dgnb-navigator.de) is registration on the platform and the certification of the products with an "Environmental Product Declaration" (EPD). For this, the overall lifecycle of the articles, including production processes, are analysed and evaluated in a very complex process with regard to energy and resource consumption, emissions and other impacts on the environment. Only then are the products available for evaluation by the DGNB or LEED or BREEAM.
The DGNB Navigator Label was accepted by Head of Marketing Matthias Gerstberger on behalf of the OBO Corporate Group at the "Bau 2017" trade fair in Munich.
